Low Pressure Roof Cleaning

Are you noticing the build up of black streaks on your roof? These stains can be very unsightly, but they can also damage your roof over time. The discoloration is caused by Gloeocapsa Magma. While most people confuse their roof stains as Mold, Gloecapsa Magma is an algae responsible for the discoloration and damage. How does this happen? Algae slowly feeds off of the asphalts limestone leading to structural issues, detached shingles, and a negative impact on your roofs ability to reflect sunlight. This can lead to more heat radiating through your home, increasing your cooling bill.

Luckily we specialize in applying a low pressure, biodegradable solution, which treats and neutralizes all Gloecapsa Magma. We apply the solution at 80 PSI, which is much less pressure than your average garden hose. Our state of the art proportioning system allows us to dial in exact mix ratios for our solution. By using all low pressure 12v battery powered pumps we ensure no high pressure is used on your roof. Our application process has been approved by the ARMA (Asphalt Roofing Manufactures Association).

Property protection is the most important factor when having your roof cleaned. To best protect your property we tape off all external electrical outlets (Doorbells, Garage Door Code, Security Cameras, Wifi Boxes). Another step we take is watering all vegetation and plants before, during and after the cleaning ensuring no damage to your property.

When selecting a potential company to Clean your Roof in Delaware have them walk the exterior of your home, identify the growth, and explain their cleaning system. Pressure washers are unable to draw enough solution to properly treat and clean a roof. Make sure the cleaning contractor you select uses a dedicated 12 volt or Soft Wash pump to ensure low pressure is used. Even when throttled down a pressure washers PSI is still too much for asphalt shingles.
